Unit 3 Silent Movie
Silent Movie "Lock-down" Research: During our lesson with Rob we looked at two different silent films. The comedy silent film is called t he Cure and Nosferatu: A Symphony Of Horror. The Cure is a 1912 silent film written by Charlie Chaplin and staring John Bunny and Flora Finch. But unfortunately John Bunny died 3 years after the show had started and because of this tragic event a new show was created was called "A Sure Cure For Pokeritis." The show was about a woman who stops her husband's gambling habit by having her cousin stage a fake police raid on his weekly poker game. It was one of many short films produced by Vitagraph Studios. Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror is a 1922 German Expressionist Horror film directed by F.W.Murnau staring Max Schreck as the scary, blood sucking vampire.
